West Yorkshire Police have issued an appeal for CCTV or information following the theft of a vehicle over the weekend in Ilkley.
A grey Land Rover Discovery, registration ML148PF, was stolen overnight Saturday into Sunday [4-5 July] from Tivoli Place, between Cowpasture Road and Springs Lane in Ilkley.
If anyone has any information or CCTV/dash Cam footage is asked to please call 101 and quote the crime number: 13260380657.
Following more reports recently, local Police had this week published advice to motorist about vehicle crime, and how it can happen quickly and quietly, even in busy areas.
The advice offered is:
✅ Always lock your vehicle and close all windows
✅ Double-check door handles before walking away
✅ Remove valuables and avoid leaving items on display
✅ Use a steering wheel lock where possible
✅ Park in well-lit areas covered by CCTV
✅ Stay aware of anyone acting suspiciously nearby
✅ Consider a tracking device, particularly for high-value or 4x4 vehicles
