Police in Ilkley are asking residents and workers to pay extra attention to the security of their bikes following an increase in cycle thefts.
PCSO Shaun Taylor from West Yorkshire Police said:
"Unfortunately in the last week there has been an increase in the number of pedal cycles being stolen in the Ilkley area.
"Please make sure they are locked at all times and consider removing the battery from your electric cycle."
Further cycle crime prevention and cycle safety information is available on the West Yorkshire Police website.
