Strong demand locally for quality property management

L-R: Rachel Fisher, Laura Burrows, Deborah Saia and Joanna Speight from Dacres

Ilkley based estate agent, Dacre, Son & Hartley, has doubled the number of rental homes it manages in the past 12 months.

The firm says its expanding residential lettings and property management division is benefiting from rising demand among landlords seeking expert guidance on increasingly complex legislation, alongside strong tenant demand for high quality rental homes throughout the region.

The growth follows the successful relaunch of Dacres’ lettings division approximately two years ago, and the acquisition last spring of North Yorkshire estate agent and rural property consultancy, Lister Haigh, which brought a significant managed portfolio into the group.

The company now manages a broad portfolio of homes ranging from modern apartments to premium family houses and rural properties across Yorkshire.

To support this continued expansion, Dacres has strengthened its rentals team and appointed two new lettings and property managers, with Deborah Saia joining in Bingley and the Aire Valley, and Rachel Fisher joining the Harrogate team to cover the town and North Yorkshire. As a result, the division now has a seven-strong team of lettings and property management experts operating across North and West Yorkshire.

Patrick McCutcheon, head of residential at Dacres, said:

"Our lettings and property management division has grown significantly since relaunching and doubling the number of homes we manage in just 12 months demonstrates the strength of demand for high quality professional services across Yorkshire.

“We’re seeing increasing numbers of landlords looking for expert support, particularly as legislation and compliance requirements continue to evolve following the recent introduction of The Renters’ Rights Act. At the same time, there remains very strong tenant demand for well-presented and professionally managed homes across Yorkshire’s key towns and villages.”

Dacres’ lettings division offers landlords both a fully managed service and a tenant sourcing package, with the firm continuing to expand its rental portfolio throughout Yorkshire.

Founded more than 200 years ago, Dacre, Son & Hartley is Yorkshire’s largest independent estate agent, with 17 offices across North and West Yorkshire and it also owns the Lister Haigh estate agency brand. For more information visit www.dacres.co.uk
