One of Ilkley's most celebrated restaurants is preparing to close its doors temporarily this week as it embarks on a major refurbishment project.
The Box Tree will serve its final guests before the closure on Saturday 1st August, before reopening on Wednesday 9th September following a significant investment designed to enhance the dining experience while preserving the restaurant's rich heritage.
The restaurant, which has been a fixture of Ilkley's dining scene since 1962, says the refurbishment marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter as it looks towards the future while remaining true to its identity.
Award-winning interior designers Studio Two have been appointed to lead the project.
The design team will work to refresh the restaurant's interiors through a carefully considered approach that aims to respect the warmth, character and history that have defined The Box Tree for more than six decades.
Alongside the redesigned interiors, guests can expect an enhanced dining experience centred around Head Chef Brayden Davies' modern approach to British cuisine, featuring Yorkshire produce alongside wider British and Australian influences.
Ahead of the temporary closure, The Box Tree is inviting diners to experience the restaurant one last time in its current form, with availability across its remaining services becoming increasingly limited.
The Box Tree is expected to reopen to guests on 9th September following the completion of the refurbishment works.
Reservations for both the remaining Eras dining events and the restaurant's reopening are available through the restaurant's website.
