Ilkley’s MP Robbie Moore paid a visit to award-winning Ilkley aesthetics business Jacqui Mac MediSpa to celebrate the clinic’s one-year anniversary in its new location and received some personally humbling news during the visit.
Celebrating just over a year since its opening in Ilkley, Jacqui Mac MediSpa originally launched in Silsden is going from strength to strength and is now a fully CQC-registered clinic offering a wide range of medical aesthetics, holistic skin therapy and wellness services.
The business was recognised with the "Best Nurse-Led Medical Aesthetics Practice 2024 - West Yorkshire" award by the Global Excellence Awards from GHP News.
During his visit, Robbie spoke with clinic owner Jackie about how the business has grown over the past year and how important it is to provide trusted, regulated treatments for local people.

He also received a facial scan and was shocked to discover his skin age had jumped a full decade, following the scan Robbie commented:
“I’m only 40, but I now know my skin is 50! Not quite the result I was expecting, but I guess that’s politics for you.”
He added:
“On a serious note, it was great to hear Jacqui’s story and see just how much care she puts into what she does. What really stood out is the team’s commitment to high-quality, medically-backed care — not just for aesthetic purposes, but for people managing serious skin conditions like eczema, acne and psoriasis.
“Ilkley is lucky to have a service like this on its doorstep and Jackie and her team should be hugely proud of what they’ve built here.”

Jackie from Jacqui Mac Aesthetics said:
“I’m not sure he was totally over the moon with his skin scanner assessment, but we can help him with that and reduce the skin age that it showed. It showed his age at 50 years old when he’s actually only 40 years old.
“He has a lot of sensitivity and his skin care regime is causing most of the sensitivity so we discussed how to improve this and will invite him back in six months to review his skin health and progress. He was impressed of course with what we have created on the Grove - a CQC registered medical clinic with lots of options for cosmetic and medical services.”
