Are you brave enough to take the plunge at White Wells on Ilkley Moor?
The New Year’s day plunge at White Wells on Ilkley Moor takes place on Wednesday 1st January 2025 between 10am and 5pm.
Since 1995, people have queued up to take a refreshing dip in the stone bath. In 2024 the age range was between six and seventy-four and the furthest visitors were from New Zealand, Tasmania, South Africa and New York!
Mark & Joanne, who run White Wells, said:
"Plunging is free but we do request that visitors support the cafe and buy a drink or a certificate to mark the event.
"Participants will need to bring their own swimming costumes and towels -and a reminder that White Wells is a cash only venue.
"We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers during 2024 and wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, with best wishes for a prosperous 2025."
