Ilkley Baptist Church will again be the local collection centre for the 'Operation Christmas Child' shoebox appeal.
The Samaritan’s Purse project Operation Christmas Child collects shoebox gifts—filled with fun toys, school supplies and personal care items and delivers them to children in need around the world.
Just fill a shoebox with some toys and gifts, for many of these children, the gift-filled shoebox will be the first Christmas present they have ever received.
David Callander, Minister at Ilkley Baptist Church said:
“We have shoeboxes available for anyone who wants one - just email ilkleybaptistchurch@gmail.com and we will deliver. Groups are very welcome!
“Thanks in advance for your kindness.”
The National Collection Week is from 10 - 17 November 2025, and filled shoeboxes just need to be dropped off at the church on Kings Road in Ilkley.
