Local artist Tony Dexter has ten paintings on show at the Art Shop Gallery in Ilkley.
Tony, who is a regular exhibitor, creating vibrant large acrylic images inspired by a variety of subjects, told Your Ilkley:
“Over the years my creative work has been influenced by recurring themes such as boats and beaches, wood and barns and Scottish Crofts and I’m delighted to have a selection on show and for sale in the Gallery.
“My paintings are not photographic representations but my clients can fully appreciate the source like a painting of a beached wooden fishing trawler known by many people who have visited the Isle of Mull.”
The exhibition starts on the 27th October until 22nd November with each signed and original painting measuring 76 x 76cms (30” x 30”) on ready to hang canvas.
Tim Tennant owner of the Art Shop Gallery on Hawksworth Street in Ilkley said:
“Tony’s work is very contemporary combining vivid and striking colours with lifelike subjects and we are pleased to welcome this return visit.”
