Fans of retro fashion and homeware will descend on Ilkley on Saturday 25th October for the Ilkley Vintage Fair.
The event at Ilkley Playhouse will feature more than 20 of the north of England’s best loved vintage traders, bringing a selection of fashion, furniture, vinyl, jewellery, ornaments, books, pictures, kitchenware and much more for the eager shoppers of Ilkley.
The Weston Road venue will host the fair for the 19th time, with doors opening at 10am for six hours of browsing and nostalgia.
Ilkley vintage shop and cafe The Brewer At Number Nine will run a tearoom, offering hot and cold drinks and a range of tasty food items.
Organiser Jill Coulson [pictured below] of Burley-in-Wharfedale business Alfie Robot Retro says shoppers should expect a fun and friendly atmosphere with the opportunity to source unique and interesting Christmas gifts for friends and family. She said:
“It’s that time of year when we all still have plenty of names to tick off the present list. When you gift someone vintage, you’re buying them something different and special, something no one else will give them and a piece of classic design that has stood the test of time. Our traders are happy to help you get that perfect item for your loved ones.”

One of the traders appearing at the fair will be Cara Bassett of Leeds-based Second Hand News Vintage. She said:
“At Second Hand News Vintage the main motto is ‘life’s too short to wear boring clothes’ and my rainbow rails will be back at Ilkley Vintage Fair. Ilkley is one of my favourite fairs and always has the best traders and customers. Jill works so hard to bring the highest quality stalls and a range of fashion and homeware. I love anything bright and bold and a vibrant print always catches my eye. Stevie Nicks is my style icon, so fringing, boho vibes and 70s inspired looks are also a must. Ilkley Vintage Fair is always a great day and well worth the visit!”
Ilkley Vintage Fair takes place at Ilkley Playhouse on Saturday 25th October. Doors are open from 10am until 4pm and entry is £1 per person (under 16s are free).
