Staff at Ilkley barbers, Dexters, will be raising awareness of men’s mental and physical health by walking 60 miles along the Leeds/Liverpool canal next month.
The team at Dexters Ilkley on South Hawksworth Street, Katherine, Fiona, Joshua and Thomas, have set an initial target to raise £10,000 for the Movember, the leading charity changing the face of men’s health.
Joshua said:
“We at Dexter's Ilkley will be raising awareness of the 60 men who die of suicide every 60 minutes, by walking 60 miles in 24 hours on the Leeds Liverpool canal, starting on Friday 1st November and walking through the night finishing in Leeds in the evening of 2nd.
“We aim to raise as much as we can, so far we have raised over £1,700 of our initial £10,000 target, so please if you can, use the link and donate, https://movember.com/t/60-miles-for-mo-bros?mc=1."
Joshua added:
“We all have men in our lives we don't want to lose.”
