Local charity Climate Action Ilkley’s aims include encouraging practical steps to reduce carbon emissions, one of the main causes of the climate and ecosystem breakdown the world is experiencing.
To support that aim, CAI is hosting a free event on Wednesday 11 March at 7:30pm at the Clarke Foley Community Hub in Ilkley to provide information on ways homeowners, tenants and businesses can reduce their carbon footprint while also bringing down their energy costs.
The evening will cover the full range of products and services now offered by many energy companies, such as solar panels, heat pumps, batteries, EV’s and green tariffs, and CAI will be joined by one of Octopus Energy’s technical experts.
Steven Webb, CAI Trustee said:
“With the twin challenges of a climate crises and huge cost of living pressures, it has never been more important that everyone has the best information available to do what they can to address both. We believe this free event will provide a good overview of what is available and give everyone the opportunity to ask the questions that might have been preventing them from moving forward.”
Free tickets for the event are available to book via Eventbrite, but also feel free to turn up on 11 March for access if space allows.
