Ilkley law firm, LCF Law, has been named among the UK’s top employers after securing a place in the medium-sized business category in this year’s The Sunday Times Best Places to Work list.
The recognition comes as the firm continues a sustained period of expansion, after recruiting 22 new team members since the start of the year and unveiling a new strategic vision to support its next phase of recruitment and growth. It also makes LCF Law one of only a handful of law firms to secure a place in the prestigious list for a second time.
With more than 145 people based across four offices, including Wells Walk in Ilkley, the full-service regional practice achieved an overall employee satisfaction score of 86%, with every category assessed by WorkL scoring above 80% and ranking as “excellent”, which is significantly higher than the industry standard.
The results, based entirely on anonymous employee feedback, measured six key areas including job satisfaction, wellbeing, information sharing, empowerment, pride and reward and recognition.
LCF Law’s strongest performance came in job satisfaction, where the firm achieved a satisfaction score of 88%. The category examines whether employees feel respected, supported by managers and leaders, are developing professionally and enjoy their work. Wellbeing followed closely at 87%, highlighting the firm’s ongoing commitment to ensuring staff are happy, safe and supported in the workplace.
The firm also scored 86% in information sharing, empowerment and instilling pride, demonstrating a culture where employees feel listened to, trusted to make decisions and proud of the contribution they make. Reward and recognition achieved 82%, with staff responding positively on issues including pay, flexibility and acknowledgment for strong performance.

The accolade follows a major internal conference where the firm formally launched an updated purpose, vision and values framework aimed at shaping future decision-making, recruitment and client service standards.
Ragan, who became Managing Partner in 2024, said the refreshed framework was intended to provide clarity as the business scaled further across the region and beyond. She added:
