Ilkley Playhouse will host some of the north’s premier retro traders when Ilkley Vintage Fair returns on Saturday 26th October.
With vintage clothing for women and men, homeware, vinyl, kitchenware, furniture, toys and many more classic items on offer, it will be a trip down memory lane for many visitors and a treasure trove of opportunities for those seeking to acquire unique, timeless items.
This autumn’s fair, the seventeenth time the Weston Road venue has hosted the event, will also see the return of Interlude Tea Room from Shipley, selling savoury and sweet food and hot and cold drinks to refresh shoppers throughout the day.
Doors open at 10am, with Ilkley shoppers able to browse everything from Hornsea Pottery to Biba dresses, post punk records to Ercol chairs until 4pm.

Organiser Jill Coulson of Burley-in-Wharfedale business Alfie Robot Retro says it is the perfect opportunity to find unique Christmas presents for loved ones:
“When you shop for vintage, you have the whole history of design to choose from. You’re buying items from a time when things were built to last, and you can find gifts that are different and tell their own fascinating story”
Among the traders appearing at the Ilkley Playhouse Vintage Fair this month is Bradford-based clothing specialist Trudy Fielding of Vintage Beau. Trudy said:
“I’ve done many events all over the UK, but Ilkley Vintage Fair is a firm favourite. It’s such a warm, friendly, inviting and inclusive fair with a great mix of sustainable sellers and the loveliest customers. Not to mention the cute dogs too. It’s definitely worth a visit. Who doesn’t love a day out in Ilkley, right?
Trading at the Ilkley fair for the first time is Caz Mackender of Mitty Dotty from York. Caz gave a sneak preview of what she will be bringing with her:
“I am passionate about mid-century design and have a love of decorative vintage and antique items. I love to showcase quality mid-century furniture, British studio pottery, vintage maps, industrial heritage pieces and the unusual and unique!”
Ilkley Vintage Fair takes place at Ilkley Playhouse on Saturday 26th October. Doors are open from 10am until 4pm and entry is £1 per person (under 16s are free).
