Outside the Box (OTB) is delighted to announce the resounding success of the OTB Landscape Exhibition, which was proudly displayed at the Outside the Box Café until 9th October and has now been moved to Ilkley Library.
Launched on 11th September, this exhibition has been a vibrant celebration of creativity, community, and collaboration, showcasing stunning artwork and performances from OTB’s talented members, all adults and young people with a learning disability and/or autism.
The recent launch event for the exhibition kicked off with an energetic performance by the OTB Music Group, filling the charity’s premises at The Arcade in Ilkley, with music and applause. Their walking-themed performance, specially rehearsed for the occasion, created a joyful atmosphere and was met with warm appreciation from the crowd. Guests were then treated to a delightful selection of picnic-style nibbles, lovingly prepared by the OTB Cooking and Baking Groups, adding a welcoming touch to the celebration.
In the afternoon, the OTB Photography Group welcomed guests and captured the day's excitement with fun photography props. Their striking photos, now part of the exhibition, sparked many conversations and much admiration. The launch day ended with an art-themed performance by the OTB Drama Group, providing a heartwarming and captivating close to a memorable event enjoyed by all.
Outside the Box extends a heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended and supported the event, as well as to Your Ilkley for covering the occasion.
Now displayed at Ilkley Library for the next month, this exhibition invites you to experience a stunning showcase of creativity from OTB’s members, featuring contributions from our Print, Craft, Photography, Cooking & Baking, Drama, Headspace, Fit & Fun, and Music Groups.
A spokesperson for OTB said:
