The Black Hat in Ilkley is to close from this weekend, reopening under new ownership in April.
The Church Street venue announced the news on socials media this week, owners Stonegate Group have been advertising a new tenancy opportunity on its company website since 2025 - marketed as 'a true turnkey hospitality opportunity for an experienced operator.'
Originally the Rose & Crown, it was Renaissance for four years from 2010 and opened at The Black Hat after a major refurbishment in 2014.
No date for its reopening has been given yet.

The Facebook post reads:
"Dear customers,
"We would like to let you know that the pub will be closed from the 22nd of March while we carry out some works inside the premises.
"This is an exciting time for us as the pub will also be reopening in April under new ownership. The exact reopening date is to be confirmed, and we will update you as soon as possible.
"We’d like to thank everyone for your continued support and look forward to welcoming you all back very soon to enjoy the pub’s next chapter with us.
"See you again in April!"
