Cash Access UK, the organisation set up to protect access to cash across the UK, has opened a temporary home for the banking hub in Ilkley at the Library on Station Road.
Customers of all major banks can visit any weekday between 9am-5pm to carry out regular cash transactions including cash withdrawals and deposits as well as checking balances or paying bills.
Additionally, the hub also offers a community banker service where customers can talk to their own bank in a private space about more complicated issue on the day their bank is in the hub:
Monday: HSBC (coming soon)
Tuesday: Halifax
Wednesday: NatWest
Thursday: Santander
Friday: Barclays
While the hub in Ilkley Library is up and running today, Cash Access UK can confirm it has secured a permanent home for the hub located at 1 Wells Road [pictured below], which will offer the same services. The team is currently carrying out necessary works, but the hub will be open early next year and local residents can check for updates on the website.

Ilkley was recommended a banking hub by LINK, the cash access and ATM network, following the closure of the town’s last remaining bank branch.
This is the 11th banking hub to open in West Yorkshire with another set to open in Morley next year.
Gareth Oakley, CEO at Cash Access UK:
“I’m happy to announce that the new banking hub in Ilkley is now open, giving local residents access to cash and in-person banking services. The hub is available for everyday banking transactions every day of the week, and for more specific or complex enquiries, a community banker will be on-site to assist on designated days. Thank you to the team at Ilkley Library for providing us with this space while we work on the permanent location on Wells Road.”
