The gloves are going on, the bags are ready and the Great Bradford Spring Clean is ready to start.
The annual spring clean, taking place from 13 to 29 March, aims to improve the local environment and foster a sense of civic pride.
Residents, local business, schools and community groups across Addingham, Ilkley, Burley-in-Wharfedale and Menston are being asked to come together to help make a positive impact in their neighbourhood while working together to protect the environment.
Anyone wanting to organise a community clean-up are asked to contact their local area co-ordinator's office. For Addingham and Ilkley that is 01535 618008 or keighleyareacoordinatorsoffice@bradford.gov.uk and for Burley-in-Wharfedale and Menston it is 01274 437146 or shipleyareaoffice@bradford.gov.uk.
Cllr Sarah Ferriby, Portfolio Holder for Healthy People and Places, said:
“This is a great opportunity to get involved in a community event to make our streets cleaner and more attractive. We always have great support for our Spring Clean so I am sure it will also get a great response this year too.”
