An independent conveyancing firm has officially opened a new office in Ilkley as it celebrates ten years in business.
Lester Campbell welcomed members of the local business community to a launch event at The Ticket Office on Friday 9th October, following its move into premises at Victoria Works on Little Lane.
The firm was established in Leeds in 2016 by solicitors Jade Campbell and Rodney Lester and specialises in residential and commercial conveyancing.
Its new Ilkley office is led by Partner Tracey Lynam, who has more than 25 years of experience in the property industry.
Tracey joined the business in November 2025 and became a Partner alongside Jade earlier this year.
The pair previously worked together at Gordons LLP in Bradford, with their longstanding professional relationship helping to bring about the firm's expansion into Ilkley.
The move also has personal significance for Tracey, whose family has strong connections to the town. Her grandparents and father are from Ilkley, while her grandfather previously ran a barber's shop on Leeds Road.
Tracey said:
“Opening our Ilkley office has been particularly special for me because of my family's connections with the town.
"It really does feel like coming home.
“We had such a fantastic evening celebrating our official launch at The Ticket Office.
"Everyone was incredibly warm and welcoming, and it was wonderful to see so many people from local businesses coming along to support us. We're really looking forward to becoming part of the Ilkley community.”
Lester Campbell aims to offer a more personal approach to conveyancing, allowing clients to contact the person handling their property transaction directly.
The new office also provides an opportunity for customers to speak to the team face to face.
Jade Campbell said:
“Tracey and I have both worked in large, high-volume firms, and we know how important the personal touch is for clients.
“Buying or selling a property can be stressful, and we want to make the process as straightforward as possible.
"We want people to feel comfortable picking up the phone, asking questions and knowing that there's always someone friendly and knowledgeable at the other end.
“That means being accessible, communicating clearly, providing honest advice and making sure clients understand the costs from the outset.
“Our clients can speak directly to the person handling their transaction.
"Really, it's about going back to the basics of excellent customer service, but delivering it in a modern, efficient way.”
The Ilkley office is based at Victoria Works, Little Lane, and can be contacted on 01943 703730.
