Organisers of the annual Holly Ball are getting ready for the biggest and best yet next month, which is set to raise vital funds for two local charities.
The black tie event, organised by The Rotary Club of Ilkley, will take place at The King’s Hall in Ilkley on Saturday 13 December, with an evening of good food, drink and entertainment.
The nominated charity this year is Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice in Oxenhope, who will receive most of the profits from the night, with the Friends of The King’s Hall and Winter Garden also receiving funding.
Local suppliers are once again providing key elements, including meat from Lishman’s, bread from the Loafer and wine from Martinez.
Live music once again comes from the award winning band, The Warning Tones, followed a disco with Your Ilkley Radio's Nick Babb.
Chris Woodhead from the Holly Ball Management Committee said:
“We would like to thank the local suppliers and businesses who have donated to the raffle and auction.
“The ball wouldn’t be so successful without the support of our sponsor and all the helpers on the day – we thank each and every one.”
Guests this year will be impressed by the astounding auction items which include, a Sheldon 18ct yellow gold and diamond necklace [RRP £6k]; two night London break at Park Lane; Rudding Park Supper & Spa for 4; a 7 night holiday home in Beadnell Bay, Northumberland; a Porsche Silverstone experience, and an authentic Japanese Banquet dinner with No1 Tivoli Place in Ilkley.
Anyone not attending can still submit a bid for any of the fabulous auction items, a full list and further details are available on The Holly Ball's new website hollyball.org.uk
Last year’s event raised over £15,000 for local good causes.
