Pat's Party honoured by Save The Children [& royalty]

Following the royal family’s recognition of Pat’s Party last year, the annual fundraiser is now being inducted into Save the Children’s FUTURE100 - a powerhouse community of 100 fundraisers, building a better future for and with children.

Vic and Jackie Sedlak, Pat’s Party’s hosts and founding committee members, described why the team organise the event and raise funds for Save the Children:

“Pat’s Party is a community fundraising group established 22 years ago by our friend and neighbour Pat Evans. Pat wanted to raise money for Save the Children in response to a humanitarian crisis that was unfolding. Sadly, Pat passed away before the second party, but we promised to continue Pat’s Party in her memory. The annual summer music festival has grown significantly over the last two decades and has become a popular and very well supported event in the local community. We think Pat would be so proud of how much money has been raised for Save the Children, and other local good causes, and be delighted with the way her party brings together the local community.”

Ash Hiden, Community Fundraising Manager at Save The Children says:

"It is with great pride that we induct the team behind Pat's Party into our FUTURE100. It's truly inspiring to see the legacy of Pat Evans alive and well, with her idea of bringing the Ilkley community together for a better future for children still burning bright over two decades later. Everyone at Save the Children would like to thank the committee, volunteers, and attendees for their continued support which has already raised tens of thousands of pounds for children needing help in the UK and around the world."

Pat’s Party 2026 will be on Saturday 27th June. Tickets are now available on https://www.justgiving.com/page/pats-party-2026
