A road safety event in Ilkley on Thursday, 12 February, will check your child car seat is fitted correctly and also offer free bike marking.
Good Egg Safety, an partnership with Bradford Council and West Yorkshire Police, will have trained safety advisors to help you ensure your child is safely strapped in - statistics show two thirds of child seats checked across the UK are fitted incorrectly.
A spokesperson for Good Egg Safety said:
"It only takes 5 minutes to get your car seat checked. So come along for a quick and easy check of your child's car seat for total peace of mind that they're sitting safely."
Officers from the Ilkley Neighbourhood Policing Team will also be present to carry out free bike marking via the BikeRegister scheme. Every Police Force in the UK uses the BikeRegister database to search for stolen & recovered bikes.
The event in is the South Hawksworth Street car park in Ilkley between 10am and 3pm on 12 February.
