Ilkley Beer Festival 2026 has raised a record-breaking £55k, marking its most successful year to date and delivering a significant boost to charities, voluntary groups and community projects across Ilkley and the wider Wharfedale area.
Organised by Ilkley & District Round Table, the much-anticipated annual event once again transformed the King’s Hall & Winter Garden into a lively celebration of independent brewing, live entertainment and community spirit. Over the course of the weekend, thousands of visitors sampled a carefully curated range of cask ales, craft beers, lagers and ciders, alongside street food and a packed programme of live music.
David Shaw MBE, assistant venue manager, said:
“It’s a privilege for us to host an event that delivers such a significant impact for the local community. Seeing the venue filled with people enjoying themselves while raising vital funds for good causes perfectly reflects what this space is here for. We’re proud that The King’s Hall & Winter Garden continues to play a central role in bringing Ilkley together and supporting initiatives that make a real difference locally.”
This year’s £55k total surpasses all previous fundraising efforts in the festival’s history - a milestone achievement that organisers say reflects both growing attendance and the unwavering generosity of the local community. Strong advance ticket sales, sponsorship from local businesses and the hard work of dozens of volunteers all contributed to the record-breaking figure.

Importantly, the funds raised are already being put to good use. Early donations have been made to support the development of a new clubhouse for Burley Trojans, helping to strengthen grassroots sport and provide improved facilities for players and families. Financial support has also been directed towards the training of new guide dogs for people with visual impairments, contributing to life-changing independence and mobility for those who need it most.
In addition, funding has been allocated to projects aimed at improving the accessibility of local footpaths. These improvements will help ensure more residents - including those with mobility challenges - can safely access and enjoy Wharfedale’s natural landscapes, reinforcing the festival’s commitment to inclusive community benefit.

The organisers have also taken steps to ensure that nothing goes to waste. Surplus festival glasses have been donated to local organisations, including The Clarke Foley Community Hub, where they will be reused to support community events and activities. The initiative reflects the Round Table’s wider focus on sustainability and practical local support.
A spokesperson for Ilkley Round Table said:
“To raise £55,000 is an incredible achievement and a testament to the continued support of the Ilkley community. The festival is about more than great beer and good music, it’s about bringing people together and making a real difference locally. We’re delighted that the money is already being distributed and having a positive impact.”
Since its inception, Ilkley Beer Festival has grown into one of the town’s flagship annual events, known not only for its atmosphere and quality offering but for its clear charitable purpose. Every pound raised stays within the community and supports carefully chosen causes that align with the Round Table’s values of service and local impact.

James Rudge, owner of Bini Brew Co, commented:
“Ilkley Beer Festival is a standout event in the local calendar, not just for the quality and variety of beers on offer, but for the purpose behind it. As an independent brewery, it’s fantastic to be part of something that champions local producers while raising significant funds for the community. The atmosphere is always brilliant, and knowing the festival raised a record £55,000 this year shows just how much it means to the town.”
With this year’s record total now confirmed, planning is already underway for the 2027 festival. Organisers say they are determined to build on this success, continue strengthening partnerships with local businesses and sponsors, and once again deliver an event that combines celebration with meaningful community benefit.
