The Ilkley Business Improvement District (BID) has introduced a ‘Food & Drink Fortnight’ running from 20th January until 3rd February to showcase Ilkley’s fantastic range of hospitality venues and to support local businesses.
January is traditionally a difficult time for the hospitality trade coming off the back of the busy Christmas spending period, and the snow and icy conditions earlier this month have compounded the situation.
For this reason, the BID has been working with some of the town’s cafes, bars and restaurants to help publicise their special offers and discounts as part of the campaign. All the offers are featured on a dedicated page on the Discover Ilkley website and will be promoted throughout the 14 days on the Discover Ilkley marketing and social media channels.
As Sarah Brookfield-Almond, Ilkley BID Manager, says:
“We’re passionate about sharing the message about the importance of supporting local businesses. We’re so fortunate to have a vast array of different hospitality venues in our town, offering amazing food and drink, and we’re trying to encourage our local residents, and of course visitors to the town, to take advantage of their great offers and special deals. Now, more than ever, we all need to get behind our businesses to help keep the town and its economy thriving.”
