Time is running out to nominate your neighbours and community champions for Ilkley Town Council’s new Citizen Award Scheme.
Ilkley Town Council’s brand-new award scheme is designed to honour the extraordinary individuals who make a real difference in our community.
The deadline for nominations is Friday 31st January.
Anyone can nominate an Ilkley resident who they believe deserves recognition for their positive contributions to the community. Whether they’ve volunteered at local charities, organised events, helped a neighbour in need by shovelling snow or popping to the post office, or simply gone the extra mile to make Ilkley a better place, this is the perfect opportunity to show your appreciation.
"This scheme is all about celebrating what makes Ilkley so special – the people,"
says Councillor Gibson.
"We encourage everyone to think about those who have made a difference in their lives and in the community, and to nominate them for this well-deserved recognition."
Nominations for the Citizen Award Scheme, which has been established in association with Community Action Bradford & District and Ilkley Community Network, will close on Friday 31st January.
There are 4 separate categories: Voluntary Organisation Volunteer of the Year, Young Volunteer of the Year, Environmental Champion and Outstanding Citizen Award.
Ilkley Town Council will review all nominations and select the winners, who will receive a special award at the Annual Town Meeting in March 2025.
For more information and to submit a nomination, please visit the Ilkley Town Council website: www.ilkleytowncouncil.gov.uk
