Ilkley Grammar School’s 1st XV rugby team are taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge to raise funds for new school rugby training kit.
All available squad members will take on the challenge on Wednesday 29 October, and along with the training kit, funds raised will purchase team ties, which each player will receive after making their first appearance.
The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge takes on the peaks of Pen-y-Ghent (694 metres), Whernside (736 metres) and Ingleborough (723 metres).
Team Captain Oliver Braddick said:
“Rugby has given us a strong sense of teamwork, discipline, and pride in representing our school — and we want every player to feel part of that tradition.
“Any donation, big or small, will help us reach our goal and support the next generation of our rugby squad.”
