Ilkley nursing home opens new landscaped garden

The new landscaped garden at Riverview Nursing Home.

Residents and staff at an Ilkley nursing home have celebrated the opening of a newly landscaped garden.

Riverview Nursing Home hosted a garden party last week to mark the completion of the new outdoor space.

Local MP Robbie Moore was invited to officially cut the ribbon.

The garden was designed and created by local landscapers J C Brayshay and aims to provide residents with a welcoming space to relax, socialise and spend time outdoors.

Robbie Moore MP said:

"It was an absolute privilege to spend the afternoon with residents and staff at Riverview Nursing Home in Ilkley, and to officially cut the ribbon on their beautiful new landscaped garden.

"I'm sure this fantastic new space will have a hugely positive impact on both residents and staff, providing a welcoming environment where they can spend time together, relax and enjoy the benefits of being outdoors.

"As well as chatting with residents throughout the afternoon, it was also a pleasure to speak with their family members and hear first-hand about the outstanding level of care and support provided by the team at Riverview."

He added:

"I am immensely proud to have a care home like Riverview in our constituency, providing such an exceptional standard of care.

"My sincere thanks go to Rosina and the whole Riverview team for such a wonderful afternoon, and to local landscapers J C Brayshay for designing and creating this beautiful garden, which I know will be enjoyed by residents for many years to come."
