For the first time, the UK City of Culture will be a district wide event, giving a unique opportunity to celebrate the talent in local communities in and around Bradford, including Ilkley.
Ilkley Town Council [ITC] is keen to promote a rich and diverse series of events throughout the year, encompassing creative and community groups and individuals, including the visual arts, music, dance, drama, poetry, history, well-being and the environment.
A small grant scheme has been established to contribute financial support of up to £350 for Bradford 2025 City of Culture projects being run by community organisations, planned within Ilkley and Ben Rhydding.
A spokesperson for Ilkley Town Council says:
“Ilkley Town Council is keen to showcase local talent and get involved with Bradford 2025. As the nation’s attention is focused on the Bradford District, Ilkley residents can apply to gain support from Ilkley Town Council, enabling them to take part in this fantastic opportunity.”
The Ilkley Town Council Bradford 2025 City of Culture small grant scheme criteria and guidance, along with a downloadable copy of the application form, are available from the ITC website: ilkleytowncouncil.gov.uk/the-council/city-of-culture.
For any queries, and to return your completed application form, please contact the Deputy Clerk, Cate Perman, on deputyclerk@ilkleytowncouncil.gov.uk.
