Lishman’s Butchers team member shortlisted for Women in Meat Award

Emma from Lishman's

Lishman’s Butchers in Ilkley is encouraging customers to support Emma Lishman, who has been shortlisted in the Craft Butchery category at this year’s Women in Meat Awards.

The family-run business is urging customers to cast their votes before the deadline on Wednesday, August 26th.

While Emma may sometimes be seen in the shop or helping out in the bakery, much of her work takes place behind the scenes at Lishman’s.

Her role covers a wide range of areas, including team development, marketing, customer communications and seasonal planning.

The company says her work focuses on ensuring a smooth experience for both customers and staff, while maintaining the quality Lishman’s is known for.

Alongside her work at the business, Emma is Vice Chair of the Q Guild and is currently studying for a BA in Sustainable Butchery & Gastronomy.

Lishman’s is now asking its customers and supporters to get behind Emma before voting closes.

They said:

“We’d love it if you would support Emma by voting for her in the Craft Butchery category.”

The Women in Meat Awards recognise women working across the meat industry, with categories covering different areas of the sector.

Lishman’s said it will share the voting link through its social media stories ahead of the deadline today.
