Nell Bank Outdoor Education Centre has announced the launch of one. wild. night., a brand-new overnight outdoor experience designed exclusively for women seeking to reconnect with nature, themselves and one another.
Taking place from Saturday 5 to Sunday 6 September at the Ilkley venue on Denton Road, this immersive 24-hour event invites women to step away from the demands of daily life and experience the restorative power of the natural world in the stunning surroundings of Nell Bank's woodland and riverside landscape.
More than simply an outdoor event, one. wild. night. has been carefully created to offer space for reflection, adventure, learning and connection. Participants will enjoy a programme of nature-based workshops and activities including foraging, forest bathing, bushcraft, fire-building, yoga, meditation, stargazing, guided nature walks and creative outdoor skills.
Guests will stay overnight under canvas, enjoy freshly prepared meals and hot drinks throughout the event, and receive both a welcome pack and exclusive one. wild. night. merchandise gift pack.

Unlike traditional retreats or wellness weekends, one. wild. night. focuses on simplicity and authenticity. A fire beneath the trees. A sky full of stars. Fresh air, meaningful conversation and the opportunity to simply be.
Dan Goodey, Centre Manager at Nell Bank, said:
"We are incredibly excited to welcome a different part of our community to experience Nell Bank in a completely new way. For many years, people have known us as a place where children and young people come to learn outdoors and connect with nature, but one. wild. night. allows us to extend that opportunity to women looking for space, connection and adventure in the outdoors.
“The event perfectly reflects what Nell Bank is all about – creating memorable experiences, boosting wellbeing and helping individuals build a deeper relationship with the natural world. We can't wait to see women from across the local area come together for what promises to be a unique experience."

The event has been developed in partnership with Event Manager Nicola Holmes, whose passion for outdoor experiences and community connection is helping to bring the concept to life. Nicola said:
"When the opportunity arose to create one. wild. night., I immediately knew it was something I wanted to be part of. Like so many women, I understand how easy it is for life to become busy, noisy and centred around everyone else's needs. This event creates the kind of experience I know I would want for myself and my friends – a chance to switch off, spend time outdoors, learn something new, laugh around a fire and leave feeling refreshed and reconnected. I genuinely can't wait to make this happen and to share this experience with them."
The full one. wild. night. experience costs £120 per person, with all activities, accommodation, meals, refreshments and merchandise included. Places are limited, for booking information and event details, visit: https://own.nellbank.org/
