The first meeting of The Olicana Historical Society winter programme is titled ‘The Forgotten War in Yorkshire: English Civil War 1642-1643’.
Mike Turpin will give the talk on Thursday 19th September in the Jack Lofthouse Annexe at the Clarke Foley Community Hub at 7.30pm.
Meetings are held on the third Thursday of the month September to May.
Annual subscription £15, new members welcome, join at the meeting or visitors £4.
At October’s meeting Mike Spence will give The May Pickles Memorial Lecture on ‘Craven Place Names’.
