Outside the Box has announced its first Winter Festival will take place on Sunday 14th December between 2pm and 4:30pm.
The event, at the charity’s home at The Arcade on South Hawksworth Street in Ilkley, promises lots of festive fun, sparkle and merry entertainment for all ages.
In partnership with Sally’s Army Choir, the free-entry Festival will include carol singing and musical performances with the choir and OTB Music Group. Visitors can also enjoy seasonal refreshments including homemade mince pies made by the inclusive Outside the Box team and delicious mulled wine as well as festive stalls and a variety of Christmas themed crafts throughout the afternoon.
Outside the Box is pleased to welcome ‘Krafts with Karen’ as a special festival guest. Usually based at the popular Hesketh Farm Park, they will be running hands-on craft sessions for children in the Outside the Box Family Room, a chance to create some lovely Christmas gifts and decorations.
These workshops are well loved by all who attend, with reviews such as:
"We had a lovely experience at Krafts with Karen with my 2 year old, Karen is so lovely with all the children and really helpful when making the crafts."
"My girls made sand in a bottle, a lasting memory of a fantastic day."

Amy Robinson, the charity’s Marketing and Events Manager, said:
“We’re thrilled to bring the community together for a joyful afternoon at Outside the Box.
“This event is all about connection, community, and festive fun, and we can’t wait to welcome families, friends, our regular and new customers and supporters to enjoy the afternoon with us.”
The Winter Festival offers something for everyone and no bookings needed – just come along and join in the seasonal cheer. Outside the Box Café is open as usual during the festival.
