Quinta Restaurant, the cosy Portuguese-inspired eatery in Ilkley, has been named 'Best Restaurant in England' at England's Business Awards 2025 held in Birmingham last month.
The accolade follows a public nomination and a voting process that propelled Quinta from a regional winner to the national title, beating 38 regional finalists.
Founded by owners Tom and Diogo, Quinta began as a shared passion for real, freshly prepared food, cooking everything fresh to order using the finest ingredients. Signature dishes include a 10oz ribeye steak, grilled sardines, octopus, king prawns and the famed Portuguese tart.
Diogo said:
"Tom and I founded Quinta Restaurant out of a deep love for real food. Having worked together for 11 years at Quinta and hopefully many more to come.
"We create a relaxed, homely atmosphere perfect for both date nights and families, and strive to make each and every dish a wholesome expression of our love for food, life, and living.
"Sharing a taste of Portugal in Ilkley and seeing guests enjoy our food has always been our greatest reward — this recognition makes that even more special."
"We would like to thank all of the lovely customers who voted for us and all of our staff who have helped us make such a successful restaurant."

The path to the national award began with a member of the public’s nomination, followed by strong customer votes that led Quinta to the England finals. The final selection combined public voting with anonymous mystery diner visits.
Quinta first secured the regional title for Yorkshire at the Queens Hotel in Leeds before advancing and ultimately taking the national crown.
Quinta is based on Wells Road in Ilkley and is open Tuesday to Sunday, further details are available on the restaurant website: https://www.quintarestaurant.co.uk/
