Tickets are now on sale for Yorkshire’s biggest week of the year, the Lexus Ilkley Open.
Between 7th – 14th June, tennis players from across the World will be bringing their talent to the grass courts at Ilkley Lawn Tennis and Squash Club (ILTSC). With the event growing in popularity each year, fans are being urged to purchase tickets quickly so as not to miss out on the highlight of Ilkley’s Summer calendar.
From centre court to centre stage, the week will not be short of entertainment as the Beyond the Baseline music events also return.
Your Ilkley spoke to Rik Smith, Tournament Director at Ilkley:
“This year marks the 10th event hosted at Ilkley, with each year creating an even bigger spectacle for attendees. It has always been our ambition to create a day out for the avid tennis fan and the casual enthusiast, and this year is set to be the biggest event we have ever hosted.
"We will not only see larger capacity on our show courts, but an even greater range of music and events to surround the on-court action. Our hope is to produce a fantastic day and evening for all the family, bringing a new audience and creating an opportunity to view some of the world’s best players as they warm up for Wimbledon.”
Since it began in 2015, the Lexus Ilkley Open is now more than just an entertaining week for fans. As part of the Club’s expanding Bradford Parks programme, 2000 children are welcomed onto site during the week for their own tennis taster, as well as having the opportunity to watch the professionals take to the court.

There is a strong sense of community during the Lexus Ilkley Open. With an increase in footfall of over 20,000 throughout the week, it is estimated to boost the local economy by over £1million. Along with spectators, players travelling to the event always praise the welcoming atmosphere of the town, enjoying local restaurants and independent shops in between competing.
ILTSC will again be calling for businesses to decorate their windows with all things tennis themed in the lead up to the event. The buzzing atmosphere throughout the town is built on local businesses and residents getting involved and really shows visitors what an incredible community Ilkley is.
