This summer a charity football match will take place in Silsden to honour Ethan.
The 'Forever 19' charity match will bring the community together to remember Ethan and raise funds for men's mental health charity, Andy's Man Club.
Two years after Ethan tragically passed away at just 19 years old, and since his passing his friend's team, Barmy Army set up the 'Forever 19' team and have raised £11,000 so far for Andy's Man's Club.
This year’s charity football match and family fun day will take place at Silsden Football Club on 2nd August, with the day starting from 11am and the main match kicking off at 1pm.
The event is free to attend and promises something for everyone, with stalls, activities, and a charity sports memorabilia auction helping to raise further funds throughout the day.
Funds raised will go to Andy’s Man Club, a UK-based charity that provides free, peer-to-peer support groups for men struggling with their mental health, helping to break the stigma and encourage men to talk.
His dad shared what the support means to him:
“Ethan wasn’t just my son, he was my best friend.
"He was funny, smart, and loved by everyone who knew him.
"This event is about remembering him, bringing people together, and helping other families get the support they need.
"The support we’ve had so far has been incredible, and we’d love to see as many people there as possible this year.”
"Everyone is welcome to attend, show their support, and be part of a day that brings together community spirit, remembrance, and hope."
