Winter DalesBus timetable changes announced for Ilkley

Eligible elderly and disabled passengers can continue to use their concessionary bus passes.

Weekend bus services connecting Ilkley with the Yorkshire Dales are moving to their winter timetables as the clocks go back this weekend.

Most services will continue operating throughout the winter, although some routes have now finished for the season.

Saturday DalesBus service 74 will continue running between Ilkley, Bolton Abbey, Burnsall and Grassington throughout the winter months.

Operated by York & Country, buses will depart Ilkley Bus Station at 10.20am, 12.30pm and 3.50pm.

Return journeys will leave Grassington National Park Centre at 11.30am, 2.50pm and 5pm, and Bolton Abbey at 11.58am, 3.18pm and 5.28pm.

On Sundays, most DalesBus services from Ilkley will continue running at their usual times.

These include Cravenlink service 864 to Skipton and Malham, service 873 to Bolton Abbey and Skipton, and DalesBus service 874 to Bolton Abbey, Grassington, Kettlewell and Buckden.

However, the first return journey from Buckden on service 874 will depart slightly earlier, leaving Buckden at 12.25pm and Grassington at 1pm.

Sunday services 875 and 876, which connect Ilkley with Upper Wharfedale, Aysgarth and Hawes, have now finished for the winter.

There are no changes to weekday bus services.

Passengers are also being reminded that the maximum single fare remains £3, while under-19s can travel for £1.

Eligible elderly and disabled passengers can continue to use their concessionary bus passes.

Full details of the winter timetables are available at www.dalesbus.org.

New 'Days Out by Bus from Ilkley and Upper Wharfedale' timetable leaflets are also available from Ilkley Visitor Information Centre and Ilkley Railway Station.

The leaflets include full timetables for service 62 to Keighley and service 64 to Skipton.
