Plans for 100 new homes at Great Pasture Lane in Burley in Wharfedale have been revealed as part of Bradford Council's latest housing proposals.
The plans would see new homes built on an 18-hectare site, with construction potentially taking place between 2030 and 2035.
The proposals are included in Bradford Council's latest Local Plan, which sets out where new homes could be built across the district over the coming years.
The development would include affordable housing and a mix of property types to meet local needs.
The council wants the homes to be built mainly on the eastern side of the site, closer to existing housing, to reduce the impact on the surrounding countryside.
A new access road from the A65 would also be needed, alongside improvements to walking, cycling and public transport connections.
The land is currently protected as Green Belt, but the council is proposing to remove that protection to allow housing development.
Plans would also need to consider the surrounding landscape, with existing dry stone walls, hedgerows and mature trees protected wherever possible.
New trees and green spaces would also be included to help the development fit into its surroundings.
The council says improvements to local facilities and open spaces may also be needed to support the additional homes.
The Great Pasture Lane proposals form part of wider plans for around 577 homes in Burley in Wharfedale.
However, 476 of those homes are already under construction, while one further property has planning permission.
The 100 homes at Great Pasture Lane are the main additional housing development being proposed for the village.
The latest plans differ from earlier proposals, which identified land at Sun Lane and Scalebor House for housing.
Residents are now being invited to have their say on the proposals, with the public consultation open until 30th November 2026.
The plans are not yet approved, and a separate planning application would still be needed before any homes could be built.
