Now in its 33rd year, Ilkley Triathlon is one of the longest-running triathlons in the UK and it remains one of the best-value triathlon events around.
Organised by Leeds & Bradford Triathlon Club, Ilkley Triathlon will return on Sunday 20 September 2026 and online entries open at 8am on Friday 1 May.
Selling out every year, it is a sprint-distance event, 500m swim in the indoor pool, 15km bike ride and 5km run.

A spokesperson for Leeds & Bradford Triathlon Club said:
“It’s ideal for first-timers, while the course still provides a challenge for more experienced athletes. Ilkley Triathlon is well-known for being friendly and well-organised, our club marshals will be there to support you all the way around the course.
“With a multi-lap course, refreshments and cakes at the lido site and great views of Ilkley Moor, it’s perfect for your supporters to enjoy the day while cheering you on.
“Don’t fancy racing as an individual? Why not get together with friends and enter a team: one person swims, the second person cycles and the third finishes with the run. It can be a fun way to start your life as a triathlete.
“If you want to take part and find out what all the fuss is about, then don’t delay!”
The event is open to adults and juniors. Based at Ilkley Pool and Lido starting at 8:30am on Sunday 20 September 2026.
