Ilkley Pride 2026 delivered a vibrant and uplifting celebration of LGBTQ+ pride, bringing together the local community and visitors for a day filled with unity, creativity and unforgettable experiences across the town.
The day began with the annual Pride Flag Raising, led by a moving “Cry” from Ilkley’s Town Crier, Isabel Ashman, setting an emotional and respectful tone for the celebrations ahead. The flag was then raised by Deputy Mayor Jane Gibson, marking a powerful moment of civic support and solidarity at the heart of the event.
Festivities continued at the King's Hall & Winter Garden, which was officially opened for the day following an emotional speech from a young member of the community. Their words of reflection and hope provided a deeply meaningful start to a programme filled with entertainment, workshops and activities designed to inspire and connect.
Inside the venue, guests enjoyed a diverse and engaging line-up of live performances, workshops and an array of community stalls offering support, with something for all ages in an atmosphere defined by warmth, inclusion and celebration.
As the daytime events concluded, attendees gathered for a celebratory dinner at Vitello Lounge, where friends, supporters, volunteers and partners came together to reflect on the day and celebrate the ongoing success of Ilkley Pride. The celebrations culminated at The Ticket Office, which hosted the official after-party. The venue came alive with music, dancing and electrifying performances, headlined by sensational sets from Mark Wood, aka Bernie De Bra. Their performance brought energy, joy and a fitting finale to a remarkable day of celebration.
