Millions of discounted train tickets have gone on sale as part of Northern’s latest Flash Sale, with Skipton and Ilkley among the destinations included.
Northern has released four million £2 Advance single tickets as part of the three-day sale, giving passengers the chance to travel across the North of England for just £2.
The tickets went on sale from 8am today (Wednesday 2nd September) and are available until Friday 4th September, although tickets are limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Tickets purchased through the sale are valid for travel between 9th September and 23rd October 2026.
Skipton and Ilkley are both among the destinations with tickets available, alongside Leeds, Bradford Forster Square, Manchester, York, Liverpool, Sheffield, Blackpool and Newcastle.
Northern says the Flash Sale is one of its biggest yet, with the aim of encouraging people to explore towns, cities and countryside destinations across the region.
Alex Hornby, Commercial and Customer Director at Northern, said:
“With four million tickets up for grabs, this is one of our biggest Flash Sales yet, and there's something for everyone.”
The £2 tickets are available through Northern’s website and app, as well as ticket offices and ticket machines at stations managed by Northern.
Railcard discounts cannot be used on the Flash Sale tickets, while children’s tickets are priced at half the adult fare.
Northern is encouraging customers to book early, with the discounted tickets only available while stocks last.
