First held 2012, the White Rose Classic Cycling Sportive organised by Ilkley Cycling Club returns on Sunday 31 May 2026.
Often described by many past participants as Yorkshire's 'premier' sportive, it starts and finishes at Nell Bank in Ilkley and features four fully supported routes from 37 miles to an epic 125 miles.
All routes are signed on the road, with well-stocked feed stations, mechanical support and first aid throughout.
The event village at Nell Bank offers refreshments and food from Yorkshire Dales Ice Cream and Dave’s Artisan Pizzas, along with live music from local bands The Gatsbys Duo and Route 65.

A spokesperson for Ilkley Cycling Club said:
“If you’ve ridden it before, you might already know - the lanes, the climbs, the views, the atmosphere at the finish.
“Whether you’re an experienced cyclist or a weekend warrior, our routes are designed to match every level of fitness and ambition.
“After your ride, collect your well-deserved finishers medal and head into the Finisher’s Village for your free drink, live music and food, and mingle with fellow riders and friends and family.
“Ilkley Cycling Club is grateful to Ilkley Town Council for its generous support of the White Rose Classic.”
