1224 (Wharfedale) Royal Air Force Air Cadets are holding their next open evening on Thursday 19 September.
The squadron is based on Ashlands Road in Ilkley and provides young people, Year 8 up to age 17, in the Ilkley & Wharfedale area with the opportunity to make new friends, learn new things and gaining vital life skills.
Activities include Flying and Gliding, Shooting, Duke of Edinburgh Award, First Aid, Leadership, Music, Drill and Ceremonial, Adventure Training and Fieldcraft.
The Squadron parades twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays from 18:45 to 21:15.

The cost to cadets is £12.50 per month with some uniform provided free by the RAF, flying and gliding is also sponsored by the RAF. Some activities including camps which may be weekend or weeklong are costed on top.
