An independent hair salon in Ilkley is celebrating 20 years in business alongside a new partnership with luxury haircare brand Kérastase.
Joseph Bespoke, based on South Hawksworth Street, is marking two decades in the town as it approaches the second anniversary of its current premises in December.
The business was originally established by Phillip Dawson as The Loft on Church Street 20 years ago.
It was renamed Joseph Bespoke in 2014 following the merger of Phillip's business with that of his husband, Joseph Dawson, bringing their two salons together under one brand.
The Ilkley salon later moved to Leeds Road before relocating to South Hawksworth Street in December 2024.
Phillip now runs the Ilkley salon alongside business partner Mark McKenzie, while Joseph heads up the company's Wakefield salon.
The Ilkley team offers a range of hairdressing services, including cutting, colouring, specialist treatments and styling for weddings and special occasions.
As part of its anniversary celebrations, the salon has also announced a partnership with Kérastase, becoming the only local stockist of the luxury professional haircare range.
Founded in Paris in 1964, Kérastase specialises in products and treatments designed to support hair and scalp health.
The partnership means Joseph Bespoke can now offer complimentary hair and scalp assessments using specialist technology to help customers identify suitable treatments and products.
Phillip Dawson said:
“We're incredibly proud to be celebrating 20 years in Ilkley. It's a fantastic town to have a business and we've built some wonderful relationships with our clients over the years.
“Many have been coming to us for a very long time and that loyalty means everything.
“Being selected to stock Kérastase is another milestone for us.
"It's a brand with an exceptional reputation, and we're delighted to be able to offer our clients access to its products, alongside technology that helps us provide an even more individual service.
“Our philosophy has always been about recognising that everyone is different.
"We want every client to look and feel their best, but equally importantly, we want them to feel valued and enjoy the whole experience of coming into the salon.
“We're very grateful for the support we've received from the Ilkley community over the past 20 years.
"We never take that for granted and we're looking forward to continuing to develop the business, support our team and play an even bigger part in the local community.”
