Addingham Allotments & Gardens Association has partnered with the village Primary School once again this year to host PUMPKINFEST.
The third edition will take place at the school from 10am on Saturday 18th October.
There will be children’s classes for best decorated or carved pumpkin, an open class for the heaviest homegrown pumpkin, and a special class for the most beautiful, bumpy or bizarre homegrown specimen, whether it be a pumpkin, gourd or squash, organisers would love to see it!
Organiser Melissa said:
“We are grateful for the support we have received from the school in staging PUMPKINFEST, which is designed to be a fun, family event. The entries last year in the children’s classes were absolutely stunning in their creativity and presentation, and I’m sure we’ll see that standard at least matched this year.
“It’s been a good year for pumpkin growing, so we look forward to judging the heaviest and the most beautiful, bumpy or bizarre. Be it pumpkin, gourd or squash, if you’ve grown it at home or on your allotment and you love it, just bring it along!”
Entries are on the day, between 10am and 10.30am, results announced and prize giving at 11.30am.
Refreshments will be available throughout, as well as a range of games, puzzles and competitions for children.
