Reform UK has officially announced its three candidates for the newly formed Ilkley & Addingham ward in the Bradford District Council elections, scheduled for Thursday 7 May 2026.
The candidates are:
-
Craig Sanderson
-
Greg Robinson
-
Ray Lenik
In a joint statement to the community, the candidates emphasised a return to "common-sense" local governance, pledging to end years of neglect by Bradford Council.
In an open letter to residents the candidates say:
"Dear Neighbour,
We are committed to ensuring that Ilkley and Addingham receive the high standard of service that our residents expect and fund. This means focusing on the basics: fixing potholes, improving recycling, transport connections, safer cycling, and addressing the burden of high parking fees.
"Our plan focuses on financial responsibility to ensure every pound is spent effectively. This approach will allow us to safeguard our cherished assets, such as the Ilkley Lido & Pool, and other public amenities, while investing in the issues that matter most to you. We hope to earn your support on 7 May as we work to put our local community first."
A Reform Bradford spokesman said:
"Residents in Ilkley and Addingham feel their concerns have been overlooked in favour of high-profile City Centre projects. Our local community is looking for a renewed focus on services funded by their Council Tax.”
