Volunteers are taking on a major project to improve a popular footpath through Panorama Woods leading up to Ilkley Moor.
The Friends of Ilkley Moor Working Party has begun renovating the woodland route, with volunteers carrying materials up the hillside due to difficulties accessing the area with vehicles.
The project is part of the group's ongoing efforts to maintain and improve the moor and its surrounding woodland.
The Working Party now attracts up to 25 volunteers every Tuesday, who are developing practical skills to help maintain local footpaths and green spaces.
The volunteers are working under the guidance of Richard Perham, Countryside Officer for Bradford Council.
The group has also recently taken on wider responsibilities, with its work now extending to all public woodlands in the Ilkley district, as well as Ilkley Moor itself.
The Friends of Ilkley Moor is a volunteer-led organisation dedicated to protecting and maintaining the moor for residents and visitors.
Its work includes improving access, looking after footpaths and helping preserve the area's natural environment.
Residents who would like to support the group's work can become members of the Friends of Ilkley Moor.
