Ilkley Breakfast Rave returns this Friday for another morning of fundraising

Ilkley is set for another early-morning burst of music and dancing this Friday as the Breakfast Rave returns to Ticket Office Bar.

Following the success of the first Breakfast Rave in June, which attracted more than 150 people and raised almost £2,000 for charity, organisers are bringing the event back on Friday 18th September.

The event will run from 7.30am to 8.30am, bringing together local and London-based DJs alongside live percussionists for an hour of music in the heart of Ilkley.

This time around, the event will raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, with all profits from ticket sales going to the charity.

It will also shine a light on Dying To Climb, the project led by local mountaineer Shaunna Burke.

Shaunna, who has previously climbed Mount Everest while living with Stage 4 cancer, is preparing to climb the remaining 13 mountains over 8,000 metres during the next four years as part of her ‘14 in 4’ project.

Tickets for Friday's event cost £10 and include a coffee and bacon sandwich, with these subsidised by La Stazione and The Ticket Office.

Organisers are hoping the second Breakfast Rave will once again bring together commuters, music lovers and the wider Ilkley community for an unusual start to the working day while raising money for charity.

Capacity is limited, so anyone hoping to join the morning rave is being encouraged to book ahead.
