A team from Ilkley-headquartered estate agent Dacre Son & Hartley has completed the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for The Principle Trust Children’s Charity.
The fundraisers set off before 7am to tackle the 24-mile route, which takes in Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough. They faced particularly difficult weather around Whernside, with torrential downpours, strong winds and slippery conditions adding to the challenge. Despite the weather, all members of the team completed the route safely, arriving back between 5.10pm and 5.45pm after more than ten hours on the move. Dacre Son & Hartley was joined on the challenge by representatives from iamsold, Kempston-Parkes Chartered Surveyors and Mortgage Advice Bureau - Brook Financial Services. A spokesperson for Dacre Son & Hartley said: “We couldn’t be prouder of the team after an incredible day taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge in aid of The Principle Trust Children's Charity. “Despite this, the team showed incredible strength, determination and support for one another, all arriving safely back between 5.10pm and 5.45pm. What an achievement!” The challenge raised money for The Principle Trust Children’s Charity, which provides free respite breaks for disadvantaged, disabled and poorly children and their families. Fundraising remains open following the challenge, with Dacre Son & Hartley thanking everyone who has supported the team and donated so far.
