Police appeal for footage after police impersonator stops motorists

Police have recently been made aware via social media about a man purporting to be a police officer.

A man driving a Black Volvo along the A650 Aire Valley Trunk stopping motorists and purporting to be a Police Officer in the last couple of days.

Officers have today made an arrest and a male is assisting us with their investigation.

Locals reported seeing the car driving down the bypass flashing lights at motorists.
