More than 60 women in business came together in Ilkley as a Yorkshire networking group celebrated its second anniversary.
Inspire & Connect Business Networking marked the milestone with a sold-out Birthday Brunch at The Wheatley Arms in Ben Rhydding. The network was founded in 2024 by local entrepreneur Anna Clewlow and is now co-led by Dani Bolser of My Vibe VA. Since its launch, Inspire & Connect has expanded beyond Ilkley and now has active groups in Bingley, Farsley and Thackley. The anniversary event featured a panel of guest speakers, including international model and positive ageing advocate Rachel Peru, mindset expert and author Victoria Jackson and multi-business owner Sarah Isbister. A raffle held during the event also raised £300 for The Principle Trust Children’s Charity, Inspire & Connect's chosen charity of the year. The main raffle prize was donated by Ilkley's Crescent Hotel and Bistrot Pierre, while a number of other local businesses supported the event through sponsorship and contributions to goodie bags. Anna Clewlow said: “We were absolutely thrilled to welcome a strong network of incredible women to mark our second birthday. The energy in the room was phenomenal. “To see so many female entrepreneurs connecting, supporting each other, and celebrating what we’ve built over the last two years is deeply rewarding.” Co-leader Dani Bolser said the turnout demonstrated the demand for networking opportunities aimed at women in business. She said: “Reaching over 60 attendees for our birthday event highlights just how vital supportive spaces are for women in business. “We are so grateful to our sponsors and local partners for helping us host such a memorable celebration, and we look forward to welcoming even more women into our growing network across West Yorkshire.” Inspire & Connect continues to hold regular events for female business owners, freelancers and professionals across its four regional groups.
